We wish we have good news to offer on this month update but unfortunately we don’t. Construction progress is snail pace. Progress at site is slow as contractors has exhausted their money and the developer is not forwarding their claims at the desired pace to JPN. For records in the HDA Acct there is slightly less than RM2 mill which JPN will only release to contractors once they are satisfied it is the payment for work on site. PHUKB is in constant contact with JPN to ensure that monies are use appropriately.
As for the capital injection from the State Government, things are not moving at a desired pace. We have requested a meeting at State Government between Exco Perumahan, Lembaga Perumahan Hartanah Selangor, En Rafizi (Pejabat YB Anwar) to get a better picture on what is exactly going on. We hope to get the appointment next week or the following week.
Past 2 weeks many members have received a warning notice of termination of SPA from DBSB because the purchasers have refused to pay the bills in view of no firm dateline on finishing the projects. We have taken up this matter with JPN where we are asking the government to intervene by invoking Section 11 and 12 of ACT 118 to protect purchaser’s interest. The reply from JPN is as follows. We are asking the government to use the ACT and curtail the power of DBSB as in the SPA.
Until today, we are in view that the entire completion dateline given by Dr Nik or DBSB is not achievable in 2010. Reality is if block F has no contractor to do the job then, then all other blocks cannot get CF and cannot be given keys.
The committee will continue its effort despite the many frustrations and challenges that we face. We hope the purchasers will come forward to support us with fresh ideas and stay united in our goals.
